Hydro F.C. Making a Change is youth Soccer.
Hydro “The Difference” Mission Statement
After a few years of experiencing the standard club curriculum followed across various clubs, lessons were learned on what is inefficient and the need to try something different sparked.
We created Hydro Club specifically to address the current state of club soccer. The difference is based on a specific set of actions, activities, standards along with continues communication and follow through. This will allow us to foster individual growth to benefit not only our players and teams, but the parents and club as a whole. Our commitment is to put the emphasis on individual development within a team oriented competitive environment.
Hydro “The Difference” Curriculum Details:
Testing and Tracking- For both Fitness and Skill Development we plan on educating boys on development standards for fitness and soccer skills. It starts with individual tests before fall high school season, then during late fall EDP season, after winter season and during spring EDP season. This is done to track progress in development and honor our commitment to improve development.
Knowledge Sessions- A lot of what stalls player’s development is not knowing the game thoroughly, what their responsibilities are and how it affects the fabric of the team’s performance. We will hold bi-monthly sessions on Game Knowledge and Position Knowledge. Each session will focus on learning the game and positions.
Feedback and Accountability- Direct Feedback is important to grow as a player. We will have constant direct communication with the boys on individual things they will need to work on to continue to improve. Our goals is to foster an open environment of accountability.
Special Visits- At this age, players are susceptible to a high quantity of injuries. We have lined up zoom visits with an injury prevention specialist and a nutritionist to help in both preventing injuries and maintaining athletic performance with eating habits. Also in line, are visits from soccer leaders, former professional players and people that can assist in providing leadership insight to young men.
